The following video is a senior work of Bang-yao Liu at the Savannah College of Art and Design. It reminded me of my works at studies meaning the increasing pressure by coming closer to the deadline. However, for this video 3 month of work and more than 6.000 post-it notes were required.
Nice video/compilation of facts and figures of today’s development of our society driven by new technologies. Whether it is good or bad can be determined by what you make out of it.
Burger King has launched a new campaign/”documentary” for which a whole team travelled around the world to find Whopper Virgins – people who have never been exposed to hamburgers. The interesting part are the pictures and the authentic people, however, I do not see that this is very beneficial for Burger King – much effort for little output.
Ever wanted to have look into the Google offices in Zurich? Last thursday, journlist had the chance to walk through the google zurich. Here a video from a Heute journalist (in Swiss German ; ) Have a look>
I have always liked the strategy of Coke Zero and with it the commercials. Now, during halftime of todays Champions League match, I saw the following spot of Coke Zero. Just great!
The first time in the long history, the luxury brand Louis Vuitton launches a TV ad. From tomorrow on you will see the spot in television and cinema. It seems that the audience reach was not enough… or due to the vast amount of duplicates around the globe they trying to add more emotions to the brand, which can be perfectly done via television. In my opinion, however, they better have left it because the spot has not touched me at all. The spot just does not correspond with the brand… no emotions, poor soundtrack, too lame… I would not notice it in TV. The quality of the pictures is good though.
Okay, the New York Giants won against the New England Patriots… but who cares? I love advertisements and therefore the ads at the Super Bowl are more important for me. Just great! Enjoy! Some of my favourites:
This is a nice viral movie to promote the new FIFA Streets 3 game. I really enjoy football skills (although these are clearly faked) and I am looking forward to the Euro ‘08 in Switzerland.
Daft Punk’s “Around the World / Harder Better Faster Stronger” performed in Brooklyn for the Alive 2007 show. Directed by Olivier Gondry, with footage from 250 fan cameras in the audience! Great!
This morning I watched the new video for “Alice” by Moby on last.fm. This video is so weird, not to say satanically coloured, that it just does not align with the previous videos of Moby. And the track itself is just boring. Moby will release his sixth studio album “last night” on 31st March (uk) & 1st April (usa) 2008.
I guess most of you know this great ad of Coca-Cola, one of my very favourite:
Now the popular Coca Cola Happiness Factory is online where you can apply for a job and work at the factory. You can choose between various characters which are made of marvelous graphics…
