Zaha Hadid Wins Design Comp For Guggenheim Hermitage Museum

When I saw first projects from Zaha Hadid some years ago, I was not sure what to think about it… However, the way she shapes materials and embeds buildings into the environment is really impressing. Now Hadid Architects won the another competition; for the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in Vilnius.

Zaha Hadid’s silvery building resembling a sub-surface ferry or a space ship is the winning entry in the competition for the design of the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in the ancient city of Vilnius, capital and the largest city of the Republic of Lithuania.

Home theatre in the Hollywood hills

How cool is this?! A 5,800-square-foot villa called Skyline residence which overlooks Hollywood and downtown LA. Clean lines, exposed concrete, glass walls, no distracting walls which results in lot of space. Of course they also integrated a guest house, a pool and the mentioned open air home theatre. This marvelous building was designed by the team of Balzberg Architects.
